Relaxing through creativity

Find your inspiration by doing – free art class!

In this connected world it is very easy to fall into the trap of always being “switched on”. Despite our best efforts this is not a sustainable way to live, and it takes its toll on us both physically and emotionally, draining our energy.

Being able to relax and recharge is not a one size fits all scenario. We all have our own different ways to achieve and manage this – after all that is what makes us so wonderfully unique.

But here’s the thing…

When I speak with friends, students, and even when I have a good chat with myself in the mirror, the common challenge we all face is giving ourselves the time and space to start.

When I worked in the corporate world, I found this nearly impossible. Now, even though I work full time with my art, I still struggle with making art just to relax. There are always a hundred reasons why not to, but there is only one reason TO start – and that is YOU!

I know that painting helps me to recharge, yet I often found it difficult to prioritize art for myself. I have now built this into my week because it is a wonderful source of energy for my soul, just as food and exercise are energy sources for my body.

Getting started with my free art class

Once you have made the decision to give yourself the time to nourish your soul, you may find yourself fighting another battle – where to start!

That blank canvas staring back at you, the lovingly laid out paints seem to taunt you as your brain races, desperately hoping that you will someone create a masterpiece. This is not conducive to calming those stress hormones and recharging.

In my FREE art lesson “Inspired by Doing”, I lay out a simple and relaxed process with a number of tricks and steps to get you going. I will show you how to just START even though you are lacking inspiration. I focus on how to create just for the sake of creating, how to focus on your journey and your energy rather than the result. Your energy will shift, and you will be a magnet for ideas, insight and inspiration.
